Usually it's done on the Victoria day weekend, so I'm guessing that means May 18-21 this year (I'm having a mind blank and can't currently remember if the Monday is played or not). I will be playing for sure (even if my club doesn't enter a team, which they probably will, I will find someone to play with!!) and may be umpiring as well. Look forward to seeing some people from here there!

Victoria Day is May 21 in 2007, so the VIT is from May 18 (usually few games on the Friday) to May 21.

Isn't there some kind of American long weekend at the same time?

The weekend after that is Calcup....erm, memorial day weekend.  It's the last one in May.

I've heard VIT is awesome, but it's tough to go from there to calcup back to back.

Can't confirm the slushie machine, but alcohol certainly isn't in short supply, at least around the main venue. :D

It is the off-season, I suppose......how is the weather then up there? Needs to be good and hot to encourage liquid nourishment.

How do you define off-season? It's at a rather peculiar time of year -- late spring - here in Vancouver (and our regular season has just been over a few weeks); could be blistering heat, could be chilly, and  it's been known to rain (Hey, it's Vancouver!).

I'll buy you several beers if it snows, OK?

Who knows, maybe I could be persuaded to make the trip this year. I have a new niece in Vancouver and I think I'd take just about any opportunity to go see her!!!
