I watched the Indian Ladies in Manchester and Melbourne(Commonwealth Games) and they have potential to be top 6 consistently. It seems after Comm games(at least since Manchester),they don't play much international hockey. You see them every two years or so.

Is there a proper ladies programme for the national side?
Is there a competitive domestic league?

As things currently stand, they may have more of a chance than the mens team at achieving international success?

What is preventing the mens national team from being more competitive(aside from not enough astros in the country)?
