Hey guys,

Having read some of the posts in our lovely tartan section on FHF, and with hockey being quite a small circle in Scotland, I'm sure its highly possible that some of us have seen each other if not met at a hockey pitch somewhere in the country. Sooo therefore post a bit about urself detailing who you play for, what district thats in and anything significant about your hockey, i.e. have you ever represented your district or been part of a national team at any level? If so, when and how did it go??

I'll start by saying I'm Katy and i'm the 1st XI goalie for Western Wildcats ladies. We're based in Milngavie so thats West District and we are currently 2nd in National League Division 2 and hope to get promoted into Div 1 this season. I've played for West District at U15, U16, U17 (indoor), U18 and U20 level from the age of 15 and have also played for Scotland at U16 and U18 level and am now in the U21 squad for 06/07.

Now you go!

I'm Fluff (or Mike as most people know me), I'm 21 and I'm the 2nd XI keeper for Granite City Wanderers in Aberdeen.  We play in Regional League North which has some pretty decent teams in it, we're not doing too well but this is still only our third season in the league since stepping up from District.  I also play National League indoor and we're in division 4 hoping to get promotion this season.  Didn't make it into any of the North district squads as I couldn't make training but I'm now involved with coaching them.  Did 2 years as goalie coach of the u-18 girls and this year was the girls u-16 goalie coach and the assistant coach for the boys u-18s.  I'm also a C badge umpire and level 1 coach so i'm kept plenty busy  :D

I'm Allan, 20, 1st XI Keeper for Stepps HC, in Stepps, Glasgow. I played West DistrictU20 a couple of years back, but missed last years due to a broken arm, and i'm too old this year. We play in National Div2 outdoor, and Div 4 indoor. (Fluff - no promotion for you if we can help it!!![outdoor or indoor!!])

I've also had stints at both Glasgow and Stirling Universities. Was at Glasgow 2 years ago, and now at Srirling, though only play the wednesday BUSA games.

For anything else, my bebo, MySpace or the  Stepps Hockey Club page should explain.

Katy - do you see the Marsh Man (Ally) much? Gotta get him on here.... he could talk hockey for days!!

Hey yeah I see him a fair bit during the season - I train with institute on Tues nights and we share Bellahouston pitch with them and obviously I'll see him at weekends as usually if we're both at home we'll be on one after the other - he's got brilliant chat, I remember having it must've been an hours conversation with him about the differences between goalie kits hehe!

Heylooo,

I'm Euan, aged 20. Came into hockey too late to make an impact at district levels, only been playing 3 or 4 years.

Currently playing right-back for Giffnock 1st XI outdoors, playing in National League 3 and hopefully making a push for promotion this year!
Captain of our indoor squad this year, playing in lowly div 5 but made a good start to our promotion (hopefully) campaign with two wins today  8) Annoying younger brother got 5 of our 10 goals!!! I could only manage to contribute with a PF  so I'm 4 behind him already!!!!  :afraid:

We got them in cup on wednesday and obviously have no idea at all about how good they are!
