Lol.. no, 'twas a one off... with Kris bein up north and Ally injured I got a fone call from our coach (Harry Dunlop) after Ewan had been askin him for a keeper to borrow for the night.
Gotta admit I was pretty happy just to have even been asked, and despite a quiet night, it was a great opportunity for any keeper (or player for that matter) to see hockey at effectively the top domestic level. It's 1 thing to watch from the sidelines, but as part of the game, and seeing it from a keepers perspective it was a whole lot easier to see what was going on...

p.s. is it ever dry in Bearsden?Tongue

was pretty horrible weather on Mon wasn't it - we had to go for dinner with the Irish after!! Euan was the only one of the guys to turn up and even he left like 10 mins after. 450 quid for a buffet! Sack that.

You know we were SOOOO sure we saw Kris on Monday (without his kit) but clearly we didnt, must've been someone who sounded like him who wasn't Barry! Bizarre.
Some of Scooters goals were pretty good eh!?

We're playing Kelburne tonight....genuinelly cannot be bothered, soooo tired!

eh... no... I'm not allowed to play for the 2's (since i'm the named 1st XI keeper) so with 1 keeper injured, 1 away visiting relatives and 1 in the 3rd XI, we had 80 year old George Black in goal... not good! However much of a goalkeeping genius he may have been... (Scotland and GB) age has well and truly caught up with him!!

ouch... sounds masty!! tho at least you won't have the hangover i'm gonna have thanks to Joe Simpson!!

Ah you went to The Goat then - how was it? One of our girls is leaving (Jen - you may have met her) for Australia for a year and last night was kinda her thing too, at least she was gonna crash it - but Joe and I used to be friends...had a fallout and haven't liked each other since really so I dont think his party would've been quite my thing! Hehe. Hows the hangover?

Hmmm.. not sure I met Jen...  Sad

Lol... another in the long list of Joey's ex-friends... I've known him fr a fair few years (we stay in the same steet, and are the same age...), so have been on all sides of joey fallouts!! but yeah...he can be hard work at the best of times!! Rolleyes

Hagover actually turned out not to be that bad.. more tiredness than a hangover per-say...though I didn't get chance to b hungover, as I was more than busy at work... Frown

If you're looking to train with anyone in Aberdeen at any point give me a shout - anyone is welcome to train with us even if they play for a different club.  We're also a very social club too - we play hard and party hard  Lol
