OBO Robo but switching to Mercian in the off season had enough of the flimsy/clumsy right had (fingers hurt sometimes after a shot hits the hole bit.
Plus I never really meant to stay with the obo gloves for so long they were a backup pair!!

Mercian Xtreme all the way........just need £120 for a set now (tho i have an old Xtreme RHP, maybe I'll just buy a LHP and repair the other one's wrist support bit on the back!

Is the new design the same size as the old ones?
We're talking atleast 1-2 seasons ago when Mace was still playing!

Currently still TK, but it has split through the middle (will take pictures when the season is over). My new gloves will most likely be Rags (www.Ragshockey.com) because the guy who arranges all the material is now importing the stuff... but I'll wait and see if they work good, otherwise he can fix me up with some new TK's since they are pretty good (too bad they don't last too long)

you know the score by now guys!! I use Dita  Sad  county level hand protectors

its good for sliding, but as for saving, not that good. no rebound whatsoever Sad and the foam is quite thin, so when yo save with it, it pushes into your hand.

(hope to make this my last ever rant on the subject Sorry)

if you want to know more, PM me!!  Tongue    Lol   Lol

Obo Robo, but may be changing for next year.
Not sure about Obo SP. Might go for TK - depends on recommendations.
Braxer, never seen Rags before. Cheers for the tip.

I have this insane belief in sports equipment that comes out of NZ and Australia as they seem so aware of the needs of sportsmen and women , have design sense and want to be market leaders.  It always amazed me that anchor butter is still a market leader here in the UK when  they are a heaven light years away in terms of airline flights .

Obo have the edge in terms of all goal keeping equipment just as Orca have the edge in the competitive market of triathlon for example with their swim suits.  Design quality , practicallity , cutting edge of technology and yearning to be even better so they keep their edge in the market .

I only ever excelled in one sport and that was swimming and Speedo had the edge in that regard  and maybe even are market leaders still. Personllay , freezing to death with a cold metal barrel of a longlens in your hand during a game really tests your love of the game. My mum knitted me some mitts but also I  use Thinsulate hunter gloves which offer me mirs !

In the end , in my view the trade mark isn't important . Give crap player the best stick in the world and he is still a crap player!

Sorry mods . Crap ?  that is rubbish and stems either from the game of crap , a dice game , or if you believe it Thomas Crapper fake designer of the first flusing toilet , hence one visited the crapper , or went . later for a "crap"  , or , if you are a yank , you threw two dice and the totall dots didn't add up to seven so you "crapped out"  or bombed .

I hardly think that a GK's gloves make any diference and this from a 57year old guy with three hockey playing sons , one of whom was a GK with so much skill  and potential as as always , you have to be a complete nut to play in goal . Bartez , football ? Say no more .

OBO Robo.

Have tried the SP once at training and I'm sure if I could have a bit of a play with it and try again I would like it a bit more. For now though I am happy with the Robo design.
