Usual position is keeper, though I do have a 100% scoring record this season when playing CF ;D

I'll play any position I'm asked to play but in goals. My attitude has been influenced by my coaching experience.
I get equally excited about attacking and defending.Love, love pressing and winning the ball back.

I had a really talented kid.He plays Centre Forward at school but in the one regional practice match,we started with him at left wing. His body language changed when we announced it.He played like a headless chicken for 6min,when i took him off.First thing he said was,"Why am I playing left wing?". I explained to him there are two types of players:

1.This player only wants to play the position he likes.Individual satisfaction
2. This player will play where asked ,as he understands the team comes first.Team orientated player.

I told him we only have room for player 2 only.I then asked him,"which one are you?"
He said he is player 2.I then explained the tactical reason for looking at him on the left wing.
He understood,'problem'solved.

i started playing in cf but accidentally found my home on the right wing when we needed to strenghten our midfield. i played the first half of the game and umpired the second half, during my first half on the wing i scored a goal and provided the passes for the other 3 goals in the half. we went on to win 8-1.  ;D
i can play all over the pitch however and i love it, if asked i will also play in goal as well as i love the power of organizing the defence! hehe  :D :D :D

I have never played anything aside from goal.  I don't really even know how to hit the ball.  Don't tell.

Umpire first. Playing anywhere but in goal is next.  ;D

Well, more inclined to half or inside positions. So, I can run and sprint the extra mile to add to my umpiring fitness regime.

I found it useful as part of my umpiring homework. Looking at things at various angles from a player's point of view.

Another goalkeeper!!

Can play outfield but would rather play with padding. Why would you want to stand in the D with people drag-flicking and shooting at around 70-100mph without protection.............and everyone else calls goalies stupid!!   Wink

If I was still playing I would be a GK. Maybe I will get another chance to start playing this year. Though it does feel good to score goals. I hate being a defender! (other than gk)

Just sorted that one out now its 50/50 with my vote.

I had to select other as i play all over the park, but i think team captains decided not to give me a fixed position as i usually wonder around doing whatever i want which isnt always the best but they always wanted someone who would give 200% n could add some flair to the game so i never really found a proper position just one i made up.

zippytime, I just added a new selection GK & Umpire. I was in the same boat as you when I was a junior, played every position, but as I got older I found the net more fun.
