Taekke Takema has the best desguise in the game, Zeller has the greatest power and Abbas has the best placement.

It will be interesting next year at Amsterdam, they've acquired Sante Frexia who is a young, world class flicker. Nails the top left corner (goalies stick side) every time with great power and will give Taekke some competition as well as another option at the top of the circle.

Amsterdam really suffered at the top of the circle when Taekke was off having ankle surgery for 2/3 of the season and was a big part in them missing the playoffs. Next year they will have 2 deadly options at all times, or at least 1 when Taekke is sitting for 5 minutes for whining, the complaining little twirp!

zippy i would be intrigued to see how many of abbas flicks you watch if you think he has placement, watching him it seems that he puts them just wide of the keeper and the power does the rest. also most of the world class flickers are around the same 120km/h mark.

answering a question from a bit back the fastest flick ive seen was 122 km/h by abbas, but i think ive heard of it being bettered once or twice by shaw.

personally i like watching takaema, his motion is just so smooth and he really only puts placement on the ball in the last flick of the wrists from what i see

Ack sorry, I meant Abbas has greater power and Zeller greater placement.

I have seen Taekema make it look like he is about to flick it to the top right (goalies glove side) and at the last minute put it in the bottom left corner. Amazing stuff.

Doesn't change the fact that he whines like a bitch, all the time.  Lol

Loads of people who are good, but ive forgotten their names, he guy with the streak in his hair for NZ is quite good, not to mention flickers from Spain, south Korea Australia and England as well.

Isn't the guy from NZ with the streak in his hair Simon Child?

Not sure if shaw has flicked that fast, he could of done so back when he was using the Mazon slingshot sticks. But then his consistency with those sticks wasn't that great, often when he was playing for his club they would usually hook to the left, one I saw stayed on the stick so long it almost went backwards...

Yea that sounds like, him he was quite good, though I cant remember if there was another person who flicked for NZ as well. Richard Mantell is rather good as well really, then there is the Korean think he is called, Jong Hyun Jang thought that might not be him.

At the WC Simon Child had a breakout tournament and emerged as their most prominent flicker, they then had Ryan Archibald creaming them in from the top of the D with his great strike.

Zippy - Simon doesn't flick. Ryan sometimes hits (using a wooden stick). Hayden is the only drag flicker though Dave Koosof has been recalled for Champions Challenge and is a back up with Lloyd Stephenson

Yeah, Hayden Shaw is the primary drag-flicker in the Black Sticks team. I have also seen his brother Brad flick aswell for the Canterbury Cavilars...

Yeah, simon doesn't flick. But he definitely still is very skilled. Played with or against him most of my hockey career. Be interesting to see how much he has improved in two or three years
