Well I belong to the Auckland University Hockey Club, which basically means its run by uni students (although I dont go to Auckland Uni), but it's just like any other club...except we have less money, and everyone goes home for the holidays so we are constantly short of players...but hey I play prem 1 and I get cheap fees so i cant complain.

Well I DO go to Auckland uni, play prem 2 and we struggle to get 11 every week, pay full price fees and don't get to practice Sad. Go figure.

i should say i get cheap fees because I have my own goalie gear and i get a discount for coaching a team as well. But if your a student you get a student discount so fees are slightly cheaper than other clubs i think. Still expensive though

Another Kiwi.

I lived in Hamilton all my life (go the Chiefs!!) until I moved to Christchurch two years ago for Uni. I played for my school's 1st XI for three years, and now I play Prem Reserve.

I played half a season in the Prems last year when the Prem goalie quit, so that was pretty cool, but I'm enjoying the lower grades a bit better. My team this year is actually a social team that got put up a grade, so there's lots of drinking as well as some decent hockey. It's the best of both worlds really. Happy
