I thought seeing as this was an "Off Topic Thread" then one comment without a purpose may not have been life-threatening. I was obviously wrong.
My deepest apologies, Guv.

I actually play for the U16's. Sorry for not making it clear that I'm a young-un.
I hope by saying this that I'm not going to be discriminated in any way.  Lol

Snoody can be a pedant at times, I think he forgot that the off topic thread can never be on topic. ItsBailey I wouldn't loose sleep over it, probably people practising to be umpires (I'm could go to hell for that last comment, but, I have the power Happy ).

No, no - my comment wasn't aimed at you, ItsBailey. It was aimed at the annoying bloody gits who spam. You might see one bit of spam as harmless, but when they pile up they just make me so [very] annoyed. That's what I was moaning about.
Apols for the misunderstanding.

@Magpie - take five minutes on the sideline for talking back to an umpire, please...  Wink
And another five minutes for saying "at times". I am always a pedant.

Indeed!!  Yes

my only concern is the amount of water they are putting on the pitch!
was heavily watered before we went on it ( bearing in mind there are only about 10 - 15 of us for 1 hour on half the pitch) it was then watered again before you lot went on it.

Pitch wont last long if it is continually watered like that, but hopefully they will realise that soon enough..  Happy, just me being picky I suppose!!

Pitches are designed to be watered well. If it is not and is allowed to dry out the surface is very easily damaged plus you will stick like #hit to a blanket! Dry turf is very dangerous, you will plant your foot at a full sprint, change direction and everything bar the ankle and foot will turn, snap/tear/pain.

When turfs were first introduced the incidence of ankle and knee injuries spiked!
