Good luck with the pics Keely - I hope in the interest of fairness you will be posting photos from the women’s games as well?

So euhm if it's about the Beijing olympics, could we maybe get Belgium, Canada and South Africa into the poll and India, Argentina and Japan out of the poll? Nerd

Although I do fully support my national team, I know the odds of them winning the Olympics this year are pretty flimsy. They realise this as well, appearantly the aim is to end 8th or better, 6th spot would be really good Happy
So no, I don't think they will win the Olympics in the men. I'm still not sure who to vote for actually, it's going to be either Ned, Aus or Ger I reckon.

Fixed the list and added the women, so you can now make 2 votes.

I think I'll go for the Aussies in the mens and Argentina in the womens but I would love to see the USA girls get a medal at Olympics

germany spain korea and pakistan dangerous outsiders? i would say more that germany and spain will be up there with holland, while korea and pakistan will have to pull out something extra from what they normally do in order to make the top 4.

yeha i went australia and argentina

I voted for the aussie men and the dutch women.

However, I think the men's competition is pretty open, Australia, Netherlands, Germany are probably my top 3 bet, with Spain, Pakistan and Korea as 'reserve' picks Happy

I'm a big fan of German Hockey. Tongue
The Men's Team look good but it can be an open affair during the Games itself.
Not sure about the Women's Team if they can defend their gold medal. They didn't look convincing at times, but somehow managed to spring some surprising results (CT 06, Euro 07)

At the same time, I also hope my fellow Asians (KOR, PAK & CHN in the Men's) to do well. Maybe Korea has an outside chance to qualify for the medal rounds. A good overall performance from Asia would help a lot for Asia's allocation to the next World Cup. (Perhaps 3 World Cup places from 2009 Asia Cup?)  Confused

in men,  NED is, in my opinion, the overall strongest team.

in women, there's many chances, and the basis of the prediction is knowing what is preparing CHN. After the first 2 matches I'll be more sure...

my bet would be between CHN and GER
