I will be there, as part of a development group of English umpires coming over to watch the games and learn.  Should be a good weekend.

Also an opportunity to sample the local stout...

Thats good it is Murphys in Cork. Its the local tipple with hydrogen a close second.
In Cork Guiness is a foreign drink i discovered.
I will be about videoing and watching.
Normally wear, liverpool or a jaguar tops though to stand out a Nightwish t-shirt will be sported, nobody else will have one

Feel free to say hello, I will not be on the Murphy's as I will be the Scottish umpire (4th and 5th metatarsal permitting) in whatever garishly coloured top the IHU give us to wear during the tournament.

Twisty, do the English development groups follow me about?  This will be the third tournament in a row that I will have English umpires taking my performance apart!!!

mmmmmMurphy's you lucky people.

Get yourself a bottle of Midleton whiskey whilst you're there too, you won't regret it unless you don't like whiskey, of course.
I think it comes from around those parts...

I must admit, I do like Bushmills, so when myself and the missus went to Portstewart for a friend's wedding, the inevitable distillery tour and gift shop visit happened. Bought myself (Mrs Git only likes Jack Daniels  Ooh) a bottle of their distillery reserve and jolly good it was too!

Anyway, hockey...as I have to wait until the end of the month before I get to Ireland to avoid the August heat and tourists from the north!

Nothings wrong with them, apart from the Dutch who even bring all their own food with them in their caravans, or Parisians, cos their rude most of the time (always in a hurry, even on their hols) Swedes, Belgians, Germans, the braying English who have the house in a pretty village that is only lived in for three weeks of the year. Need I go on? Northerners indeed!  Rofl

In Ireland, North means Northern Ireland only, so i feel you are a tad rude and do not understand Ireland at all.

I am the rude one and i appologise to Moody_Git,

I went to Bushmills, tried some of their wisky. It was alrite but I still prefer Jim Beam black label to anything else !

Anyways, back to the hockey. I'm guessing the GB players won't be playing for scotland !

I suspect that in France, where Moody_Git resides, North means Northern European and has nothing to do with Ireland at all. I'm sure he has no idea what you're talking about and didn't intend any offence against anyone Irish or Northern Irish or anyone from that region not included in those titles.
