Thats really good and i am sure lots of us will be interested in helping out the charities...

I just wish they would be available for fans in general to purchase... I am just thinking if it is a Huge Market?? or maybe its just a small market and thats why these major companies are not producing Replica Tops for General sale...

How big do you think this market is Confused

The men's team ones are OK, but I definitely preferred the old dutch women's tops...

No that V-neck is all wrong tbh, especially together with the white inserts near the armpit. Makes it look like some cheap standard top from (insert cheap clothes chain here) in orange...

Looks like all the team kits are gonna be vest style. If that's the case then can't see much potential for replica one's being sold.

Steve

you mentioned getting the german national team shirt from 2003 Leipzig.  Were you at that tournament?  I was part of the USA team and left with shirts from Poland and also a New Zealand shirt.  The player on NZ with my shirt number, 2, had the same last name, so I obviously wanted to swap.  he was upset after the game and refused to swap (as we had beaten them).  Later in the hotel, we saw each other again and he had cooled down and realised it was a swap we both had to make.

The germans organised an amazing tournament.  they also had fantastic puma shirts for the volunteers.  I had a training shirt I swapped for one of those as well.

I have a few shirts from less well known hockey nations that are interesting parts of my collection.  Anyone else have peru, venezuela and Cuba?  There are also french, Italian and Czech jerseys somewhere in the closet, plus  treasured Indian and England ones.

I would happily buy some of the current shirts if they were available.  I think the TK country shirts did very well at the IWC in 2007 and the World Cup in 2006 because of the desire of hockey fans to have hockey casual clothing.

You bet I was there!!
I was part of the FIH Youth Board at the World Cup. Made loads of friends at that tournament and had loads of fun. Where you at the opening party?... where the Kiwis where all drunk!  Shocked and the closing party?.... where everyone got drunk!   Wink

Steve

yes.  I remember spending a lot of the evening talking with Philip Sunkel and got to take a few pictures with the trophy and also talking with Britte Becker.  Neither wanted to swap shirts though.  The NZ guys were great with their haka dance.

wonderful tournament.  that event and the Pan Am Indoor where we qualified for the world cup were the highlights (so far Happy )of my hockey career.

ahhhh yes, Philip Sunkel, he was really hammered!
He was only good on the indoor pitch and most German people actually hated him. Good goal scorer though.

Yep, I have to admit that Leipzig was a great event, especially since it was the first time the cup was being organised and that I had everything paid by the DHB Wink

Hi,

does someone knows a website where its possible to buy international team shirt(Spain,Australia,Argentina,...)???if someone has a good idea?!thanks

We at Zulu Hockey are working on bringing all the major replica hockey tops to the outside world! Unfortunately there will be a wait, as we are not going to get anything in stock until after the Olympics as most of the teams are changing their tops. We will keep you informed.....

Watched some Olympics hockey on TV... My observation and assumption, some teams are not using their usual kit; must be something to do with their NOC. e.g. Belgium, Australia (adidas) South Africa (Mizuno) So I guess, the kit may not be available.  Nerd

Hockey replica market is only at its beginning. Still niche in nature and really need some luck to encounter one. I believe there is potential in it and we can see that the hockey world is heading towards a more commercial approach.
When the CT '07 was held in KL, the Malaysian replica was sold out in just 3 days! Same goes to the German, Dutch and Spanish replicas during the '06 World Cup. (maybe longer time and more stocks!)

Sleeveless or not, many of my friends are envious seeing people wearing hockey replicas. They are different from footy ones and most importantly are not available at ChinaTown (fake ones - that's what I mean)  Wink
