Rado's right, the TK Reactor is massive - completely the opposite to what JTP is looking for.

I have to say that I still favour the Grays international full finger glove. Cheap and does the job well. Stinks like a sewer rat after about 2 matches in the rain and goes crusty if you dry it out too quick... but never mind, its part of the Saturday ritual of reeling as you unzip your shoes compartment of your stick/kit bag (I imagine they all get a little like that tho).

I think its got freeer movement becuase the protection is in little blocks not large sweeps, meaning it can shape to your hand better.

I tried on nearly all the new range of gloves the other day when shopping for hockey sundries and still ended buying another grays. The new Dita gloves felt & looked really good quality, but felt much more restrictive than the grays.

That gryphon paw was not too comfy either. It is less bulky, but it's still got very stiff padding/protection and the fit is so "glove like" that it felt like it was resisting movement (might be fine when its worn in).

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I thought I would post a few comments on my early experiences with "The Paw"!

Well, at first I thought that I may have got a size too small, but it seems that the fit is snug, to say the least. However, it doesn't stop me gripping the stick and I felt that my Kookabura was a fraction too big, so between the two I prefer the tighter fit.

The protection is provided by moulded high density plastic, not foam like the majority, probably using a material similar to that found in shin guards. It does feel tough, but I've not had the pleasure of it being tested by an attacker intent on getting past me, so I shall have to wait and see.

It is reasonably stiff, but I think it is the sort of glove that will mould to the hand, so I am hopeful that in a few matches time it will be that bit more supple.

Overall, I was after a low profile glove and this certainly fits the bill. It looks great as well! It has a lot of potential as long as it can take a wack and moulds to the hand in time. I will post an update!

Cheers.

Update...

The glove is softening up very well indeed and moulding to my grip, so on that front it's a BIG thumbs up!

Still not had a decent whack from a stick or a ball yet, but hopefully it will be up to the task!
