I think .gif this size will be very large in KBs...

And I can't see an option in mine version of the forum for banner rotation... there could be some SMF addon but... I don't know of such...

it shouldn't be too hard,

if steve has the time though as you would need to get the photos, adjust to size/pixels/formatting etc, set up as a slideshow and all done!

we done this in school so was not anything too difficult!.....however having such a great memory i can't remember how exactly to do it! Rolleyes

but i will try and find out and get back to you! Yes

Is it possible that the photos can cycle through a set of photos? So it picks like 6 from 20 different ones?

Nice idea!  No idea how complicated it would be though...

As your using PHP I can offer assistance on that, and the answer is very easy Happy

if you make it simple by making them all jpg's or gifs and then just number them 1 to 18 and use this...

Code:
<img src="dir/to/images/<?= rand(1,3); ?>.jpg" width="90" height="90" alt="Field Hockey Forum" title="Field Hockey Forum" />
<img src="dir/to/images/<?= rand(4,6); ?>.jpg" width="90" height="90" alt="Field Hockey Forum" title="Field Hockey Forum" />
<img src="dir/to/images/<?= rand(7,9); ?>.jpg" width="90" height="90" alt="Field Hockey Forum" title="Field Hockey Forum" />
<img src="dir/to/images/<?= rand(10,12); ?>.jpg" width="90" height="90" alt="Field Hockey Forum" title="Field Hockey Forum" />
<img src="dir/to/images/<?= rand(13,15); ?>.jpg" width="90" height="90" alt="Field Hockey Forum" title="Field Hockey Forum" />
<img src="dir/to/images/<?= rand(16,18); ?>.jpg" width="90" height="90" alt="Field Hockey Forum" title="Field Hockey Forum" />

Now I did it as 6 groups of 3 so you can avoid displaying the same picture twice.

Sorry if you already had the code but as a PHP developer I love the stuff  Lol

Thanks for the code. At the moment I'm doing some works on the server so I'm gonna have to wait a bit until I experiment a bit!
