I need to get turf shoes/cleats and from everything I have read, sounds like the Asics win.  Yet, I play on three types of pitches:

1. the long type with the small bits of rubber
2. the outdoor carpet style, really low pile,
&
3. indoor rubberized track floor.

Is there one Asics shoe that I can at least play on types one and two with or do you think I really need three differnt pairs?   Thank you in advance for your input!

Also, since retailers in my area don't stock the men's hockey Asics, do you know anything about sizing?  Can't special order them and return.  If I was to try on a pair of mens say running shoes, would the fit be similar?  Have wide forefoot, narrow heel, high arch, and high instep.  Eric

Funny pic indeed.

Moderators!  Please don't delete...  The duplicate on the other thread is the mistake.

Thank you,
Eric

I bought Asics hockey shoes based on my Asics running trainers and they fitted perfectly!

We play on grass and I use soccer togs. Sorry for not supporting hockey gear and all but I used to have a pair of normal hockey shoes. I was going to charge in and jump on the forward (kidding) but I slipped, fell on my back and had to watch the ball go over me like a beached whale. But the soccer shoes are placed well to accomodate my kicker straps .

Have you taken a look at www.ditatufshoes.net? --If you are in the US and Canada

Or even on www.dita.nl --if you are in Europe

www. Dita.co.uk --

They all have different range of shoes. But I recommend the Turf King Black because it's neutral and it's a nice turf shoes.  And please be aware that their sizing might be alittle smaller.
Challenge is nice, but it might be alittle narrow.

Happy Hockey! Wink
