3-3

At last, GB men put up a good performance and show some imagination.  If only they had played like that before .. a lament often heard in the UK when British teams suddenly perform when it no longer matters quite so much.  At least GB qualify for Champions Trophy in 5/6th place.

Your totally right it just typifies the Whole English/Great British sporting ability to actually win team sports requiring more than 4 people in the team.
They have played badly (or below their ability, shooting themselves in the foot (Tindall foul against Netherlands) and just scraping by until they actually know they can't win, then they compete against and take the lead twice against the world no#1's only to fall at the last hurdle of "greatness" and let them equalise with 2 minutes left.

It must be a mental weakness, or is it we only play for our pride when we can't win a prize? or could it be they didn't want to win it so they don't have to defend the title on home soil  Yes Lol could be?

Is this what has been discussed in the thread 'Fear of failure'.
I feel that the players and coaches are scared to let themselves relax and just play the game.
Let the ball do the work and enjoy themselves, i think if you asked them after todays match they enjoyed it far more than the others.

From watching the highlights they seemed too, I wrote that post ^ before I watched them (honest) talk about letting them score, mucking around at the back then two players get half touches/miss the ball before they bundle it over and just as the commentator mentions the last time we beat them... HOW BRITISH  Angry
