Interested in hearing peoples thoughts as to who's going to win the gold medal, now that the semi-finalists are decided and then matches are coming up tonight.

I predict Australia to end up with the gold medal.

They are a class team, with a great mix of experience and young talent, as well as an attacking style of play without losing grip in defense, and are physically awesome. So I expect them to beat Spain in the semis (although they have a great attacking line with Freixa, Amat and Tubau), and then go on to either beat Holland (their earlier draw wasn't completely undeserved but I thought the Aussies deserved a victory) who have not been playing their best hockey so far imho, or Germany, who (apparently with their last poule game against NZ as an exception but didn't witness this myself) haven't impressed me at all during their poule games.

The way things stand at the moment I would love Spain to grab the gold. I really hope the Spaniards break Aussie dominance. The Aussies have just been too dominant to my liking. I'm sorry to say this Aussie fans, but ahhh, an Aussie loss will feel quite good! Just like David beating up Goliath! Lol

I  agree    with   braxer001  ,  I  had  quite  sure that   The  Australian   team  would   be   to   the  final  game    but   I  don´t   know  why    the  team   started   loose  the game

so   , I   guess  that  NED    could   win   the  Gold Medal

Actually Netherlands lost to Germany, so the final will be Germany-Spain.

I predicted Spain to win the gold at the start. Paul Ahmat is a super forward- and they have good overall style and balance, decent penalty corner but no over-reliance on it. And I just think its just Spain's year for everything really.
