I think personally Ockenden was a standout. He's Australia's next big thing in Hockey and can see him being most dangerous striker in world in years to come...

I agree with Eddie. I was just impressed at how well he found his way into a great position EVERY time. He was never in a difficult spot when he recieved the ball, ever.

that tournament was the best he's ever played. i wish i could run that fast.

HA!  Look at the people who love to score goals Tongue

For mine Bevan George was Aust's best player throughout. He did not miss a beat for the whole two weeks. His tackles were not only game saving but the release was spot on with it. Against Holland (his last ever game) he had a blinder and ran with the ball creating a lot of space but still was able to get back and thwart attacks.  All this with an injury sustained early.  A superstar and genuine champion.  Without him and Wells the team would have been in further trouble. 

It does beg how the backline will now shape up with those two retired?

I'm just going to put it down to the coverage on TV was for the forwards Tongue  Being at the game really shows a lot more and you would all know.
