With all due respect to Scott, I think everyone is well aware that the Head coach has completely lost the plot. Were all players considered (including those who refuse to play for Ahrens), I find it hard to believe that Scott would be close to the National team on current performance.

Scott has the ability to become a player of real class but i agree that it’s odd that he (even in his best form) can make the Scotland squad. I know he has played indoor and outdoor for Scotland but that was strange as he has only played at Nat 2 Indoor and doesn’t stand out or take games when playing outdoor for Cala...........

Don’t listen to any rumours just wait until he decides what to do.

Scott needs to wake up and stop wasting his talent!

His outdoor caps where from when Scotland went to play Germany.

Ahrens took a really young and inexperienced team as most of the 1st choice guys were either involved with GB or injurred.

Scotts had a lot of injury problems this season, but I'm sure you'l see a different side to him once playing in a better team. He'l also be away from the influence of his dad which will be a big weight off his shoulders.

Best of luck to him where ever he decides to go.

That's what you get for being a hockey tart, Viks!

We don't know when we're going to be up in Aberdeen as we were originally scheduled for 30th November but INL DIV II now starts on that day too and indoor takes priority.

So surprising?!  Rofl  Tight game between Watson's and us - really enjoyed it though (despite the very sandy pitch).  Just disappointed that we've taken points off 3 of the top 4 in the league, and yet we're not in the mix.  Uddingston will be kicking themselves.

Could be an interesting game between Stepps and Ed Uni with a place in 1B up for grabs!  Yes

sorry... mainly the uddy score that surprised me, though a couple of falkirk moles have suggested they may have been lucky to get even a point! i didnt even consider the idea that they might drop a couple! saturday night after hearing the result we were all in the pub silent for about 10 minutes! since i play cricket at uddy i might avoid the clubhouse till after the game against the uni!

i was a little surprised by watsons as well... to be fair they hammered us, 3-3 could easily have been 23-3! but happy to say i had a good day that day  Happy

will definitetly be an interesting game! similar to our play off last season i suppose, whoever wins takes it... i just hope its not a draw!! anybody want to give any tips on them? Tongue

There short corners are very good and doubt they will ever go for a straight strike. So dont concede any shorts.

I agree- but it needs an attitude change from him I think- and much better discpline-not something his dad was altogether great at. He's a very talented player but can do so much better.

Greig, with all due respect, I would like to hear your personally testimony of Chris Sutherland's poor discipline from his younger days?  This man, was one of Scotland's finest strikers and reached the highest levels of hockey despite your criticisms.  Maybe if he'd changed his so called attitude "problem" he wouldn't have been as successful?

On a general point, let's not pigeon hole and criticise these players in a public forum.  Fair enough, everyone is has right to an opinion blah blah, but this doesn't excuse rudeness.  In my view, let the professionals guide our players to glory and hopefully they can retain some individuality of character at the same time!

No-one's denying he was good-he was very good. But he could have been even better, and given Scottish hockey a legacy that would not find us effectively frozen out of the highest levels of world hockey.

That's not being rude-just realistic.

Well, on a lighter note, we moved to top of the league this weekend.

1 Waverley Inveresk Trinity Ladies 9 8 1 0 39 9 30  25
2 George Heriots Ladies FP 10 7 3 0 31 11 20  24
3 Erskine Stewarts Melville FP 8 5 1 2 28 9 19  16

Here's hoping we don't throw it away like we did last year...
