Well done Eccy.  Looks like you've got a bit of a cushion if you can win your game in hand, so good luck!

sorry... mainly the uddy score that surprised me

No worries Haggis - considering our respective positions in the league, our result was surprising.  We all did say it would be a topsy turvy season in NL2!

will definitetly be an interesting game! similar to our play off last season i suppose, whoever wins takes it... i just hope its not a draw!! anybody want to give any tips on them? Tongue

I'm guessing they were just starting to hit form when they played us, and they spread the ball about well, and had plenty of pace up front with a full bench to bring on fresh legs all the time.  They did like to play long diagonals through the middle, so if you can shut down the centre, then that might put them under pressure.  Good luck!  (Selfishly, it suits us for you guys to get through - one less away trip in the 2nd half of the season!)

Jamie mate Really disapointed with comments like that being posted abput Falkirk.

When we played Harris, the Dundee boys gave just as much as us (apart from our boy kicking out which is unacceptable), and WIT comment as well. WIT and Falkirk games are always physical and both teams are always guilty of some "tastey tackles".

I wouldn't say we're dirty but we don't shirt away from the physical side. I've only been yellowed once this season, for A stupid decision against Stepps. Never iN a thousand years was it back stick!!!!!!

But we wait and see what happens in the second half. And it's indoor now, I hate indoor!!!!!!

Well there was a few challenges in that game which Chris (i think thats his name) should have been sent off for the kick being the one in particular and then him continuing his horrendous challenging. You do have some good players such as Dougie (I think thats his name anyway) and Staffy who is brilliant but is very dirty but he is too old to change. But its better to get rid of it sooner to improve the game.

Onto the indoor and i will be trying to stop the horrendous tackling in the indoor which one or two players have been known for in our team. Either by talking to them or dropping them.

Aye Chris should have walked, he was just being a fud!!! But in all fairness he was getting a hard time (no excuse I know). He's such a handful for defenders and is an great attacker when not throwing his toys out the pram!!!

See I don't think Staff is dirty, he's hard tackler and knows when to conceed fouls but very rarely these days does he go gunho, he's more likey to be carded when he loses it at umps!!!!

We felt a bit niffed that we didn't walk away with a win, but we weren't firing on all cylinders!!!! I enjoyed the game and good old fashion tustle, with some nice play!!! Looking forward to the return game!!!!

Don't think I'm going to play indoor this year, but we have new player that looks handy!!!

Well Staffy wasnt bad in the outdoor but from previous seasons when i have played him indoor he had been bad, and he does seem to carry a bit of a reputation as being dirty from the "olden" days.

Where were you playing outdoor?

Suffice to say that the position of GHG and Harris in the current NL reflects the quality of the exchange on this board.

Compare and contrast with the Uni who I think have just edged themselves into NL1B by concentrating on hockey as opposed to fouling.

Enough to know that not all games have been true NL2 standard. But some of that should be resolved by the Spring by the looks of things.

Its without doubt that NL2 has been poor this season, I think it is also fair to say that the majority of the teams in NL2 have struggled for consistant teams this year.

Pretty much all the teams i've spoken to this year say they've lost players since last season.

We ourselves are in the same position. I'm surprised personally that Uni went up, though to be fair we did play them very early on in the season they must of improved greatly.

Best of luck to them in NL1B its a great year to go up with Cala being so weak and Aberdeen AM not being what they were this time last year. They have a good chance of staying up for sure.

Haggis - what went wrong in the last game? You guys were so so strong against us, I thought you'd beat Uni comfortably?
