the thing that gets me about those photos is the number of people in the stands, i guess for germany matches the stadium would be full, but still, its the world cup every game should be packed!!

But yeah i wonder if you asked the netherlands team what they would say the reason behind the loss was?

Apparently they are multi coloured to provide a pshycological effect in the brain to make the stadium fuller, aparently a computer programme produced the colour pattern and ratio

Are you being serious that a computer progamme did that? it looks like they picked a blind person with no fingers to point out the colors. doesnt make the stadium fuller, wat makes the stadium fuller is people turning up to watch

What the hell do the marketing people do with our fees?

Good lord, its a bloody RORT, by my (very loose) calculations we the rank and file in Aus pay something like 3,000,000 bucks a year into HAs pockets-for what.

Iknow the WC is in Germany, but by the looks of it they are in the same place. I say we have to move the ex-players on and get PROFESSIONAL sports administrators in if we want this game to take its rightful place as the widely played international sport that it is.

I agree with you nerd (oh god, not again) dos'nt matter what colour they are empty seats are empty seats.

I believe Korea is a very strong and determined team. No other team is as physically fit as them and they seem to manage to outrun everyone! Some of their players have excellent skills too. On the other hand I believe they are too defensive at times. Their games become dragging and boring at times.
Re Stadium: I agree with the fact that the stadium should be fuller in every game. The seat colours might be a good idea but they stiill look ugly and empty when all the stand is practically unused! I believe most supporters should be placed close to each other and opposite the video cameras in order to give the impression that the stadium is full. It is a practical ane easy solution.

Actually the Australian team's fitness benchmarks are higher than the Koreans (even the Korean coach said this when the team was recently in Australia).  But the Koreans are still a phenomenally fit team and it was their level of fitness and pace in the 1988 Olympics that prompted the AIS to change the way that fitness is viewed in Australian hockey at an elite level.

I agree that tactics are the issue for the Koreans.  Despite the fact that their skills and speed lend themselves to an attacking game, they tend to play defensively and rely too much on individual brilliance rather than good team play.
