I know Hockey is not involved but is anyone watching, there have been some exceptional sportsmanship and some weird situations especially on the athletics track.

Today I have a problem, I have a friend from the USA who is the team manager of their wheelchair basketball team and they play Great Britain, so which way do I go and who do I support, though I know it will be a close game if anything like Paralympics World Cup game in April.

Wouldn't it be great if Zone Hockey* could be included in the Paralympics?  I suspect it doesn't have enough world-wide uptake yet though.

YES, IT WOULD!

But I do not think it will ever happen, maybe during the Paralympics World Cup in Manchester 2009, it can be on show and that would help.

I've watched a little bit of this and noted the Rugby and several other sports I perhaps wouldn't of imagined being part of the games.

So why isn't hockey one of the sports in some shape or form?

If I was elligable for the games or something happened I would definately want to continue playing hockey in some format.

I've seen players playing mens league hockey with prosthetic legs before so its certainly is possible

Have some chums in the Dutch ladies wheelchair team and I heard that hockey just doesn't work from a chair  even though Rugby, Basketball does  and Tennis does. Would be great if soemone could come up with a way of making it work.

My wife and I tried out zone hockey a few years ago. Someone brought in a load of wheelchairs and we all had a try. It was brilliant, most fun you can have with your clothes on  Rofl

I know Zone Hockey very well, Red.

It was made in the fact for younger members but yes it could work if we gave it chance, but then again it needs more money spending on the Grass roots of the sport and that happen this side of 2012.

I am hoping in years to come it would but lets have a look at the sports we can get rid of first of all, like professional Tennis for starters.

Sophie Pascoe from NZ who won 3 golds and a silver in swimming (not bad for a 15 year old) use to go to my high school (well, still does, but I finished high school last year).
