i was just wanting to know what is the Different with the Maxi/Hook head on the GX7000, as i have been looking at both, but they seam to look the same.

The hook is a little bit longer....

They say it's better for dribling and backhand hitting....

But you would not be able imo to 'catch' the ball in the head - as in PC injection...

the curve is also tighter, if you imagine a C turned on its side as opposed to a U

Not had a hook ever, maxi head shape is plenty for me.
Whenever I've bought sticks recently there hasnt been hook option, dont think its as popular since composites came along

I think my TK last season was a hook, and my Malik might be, i'm not really sure. Don't think it makes a vast amount of difference tbh.

Hook heads are like a "U" shape compared to a maxi which is more like a "J" shape. A Hook head might be more suitable for a player playing on the LHS of the pitch as it has a bigger stopping area, useful on the reverse pick-up. I personally find a Hook head is easier to dribble with compared to a maxi, but try before you buy.

Pol Amat, Mark Knowles currently use the gx7000 hook as did Jamie Dwyer...
