I've got a few but the one I use is an Atlas.  Animal sells them.  Nice weight. grip fits my hand nicely.  Good balance.

Thanks for that Dan, did you ever get you club sorted re the facemasks for defenders on a PC? I posted one to you (July 2007) as a sample (and thanks for the maple syrup) but I assume that it never arrived.

I did get it and thought that I thanked you.  The team wasn't convinced about wearing a mask. I guess they fall into 2 groups: those who want to deny the risks of short corners and those who refuse to be in goal for a PC.  It gets worn on occasion but not as much as I'd have expected.

I'll have to email you when we get our budget set for this year if there's any gear we end up buying.

Thats great, by October I was sure the thing had got lost in the mail. I went to Australia post and demanded my money back on postage (and got it) looks like I made a profit on the mask after all (you gotta thank Australia Post for it ,not me) Lol

I donated about a dozen of the OBO face offs all over the place and I dont think many of them get used anyway so I think that is a bit of a dead issue now

I see more TK masks being used in college games here.

I tell my defenders that I'd be scared to be in goal on a PC without some protection...

Dan, I know this is off topic, but does a guy named Sushant play with your club? He played with us for a summer and I know he is or was a grad student at Michigan.

Yup,

Last year (2007) he had an internship or job with a computer company and told me that he played wit the Minutemen (minute people?). He's finshing a Ph.D. in computer science. I'll be seeing him tomorrow night at practice. what name does he know you by?

Also,  do you still play in November?  I'll be in Boston in mid-November. I can;t bring a full set of GK gear but it would be fun to watch one of your practices (or make a fool of myself in a field position) if you need an extra person.

Tell him it's Mike (the goalie, we have a few Mikes)

If you're in Boston, we generally play 6-8PM on saturday nights or 10-12 on sundays at MIT. We're probably going to be indoors by then but you're welcome to play a pickup with us.

Mike,  Sushant says hi. I'll get in touch closer to the date to see if you're playing Sunday (Saturday night I'll be calling an auction of rare coins: 450 items in 4 hours so I don't know if I'll have a voice on Sunday but hockey would be fun). To keep this 1% on topic: I'll bring my goalie stick, the Atlas. I was going to provide a link to info no the stick but I can't find it, or any other goalie sticks, on Animals site: dixstix.co.au

I've never heard of the Atlas...

Forgot to mention, while I like my TK Keepa for normal hockey, for indoors I have used my Dita G3 and had good results with it.
