Just reading scores on the weekend.  Haven't seen a lot of upsets, but I'm not following any one team that close.

Maryland lost to Syracuse
UNC has lost twice (to Iowa and Wake)

Somewhat surprising. I'm used to see a zero in both their loss columns.

Oh yeah, I don't think Cal was supposed to beat Albany, but they did it in strokes.  UNC losing to wake isn't crazy.  What's Syracuse ranked?

Wow, Syracuse has made some strides since I last saw them play (back when BC, my alma mater, played them in the Big East)

I am following Syracuse. New coach last year, Ange Bradley. She finally has a "big" school to coach. The Maryland result was a good reward and shows what lays ahead for them. I expect Syracuse will be the cat among the ACC pigeons for a while now.

I guess I shouldn't have been surprised at Syracuse's rise in the polls. Still, remember when Maryland was No. 1 and they lost at Rutgers? The Knights didn't capitalize on that one game; Syracuse still has to beat UConn (perhaps, twice) to get a good NCAA seeding and/or avoid being the one "seed" that is obligated to play on the road in the first tournament weekend.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if they can maintain that level of play. I'm doubting it. The ACC will reign supreme again.

I don't know, I think once you hit #3 in the poll, expectations will be there whether you want them or not.

BC won on Wednesday night, played very well. I hope they can hand Maryland a loss this weekend. It sucks being a fan of a team that's always ranked in the top 10-15 but always has Maryland, Duke, UNC, Virginia, and Wake Forest to contend with in the league.
