I agree, and I'm surprised that no one apparently offered them.

They could have been offered.  I'd say about 20% of my college team had d1 offers.  We just decided that our priorities were more in line with d3 then d1.

Fair...

OTOH, I can't see why someone would want to go to school in Maine (Bowdoin)

Yep.  And I grew up in San Diego.  Just wanted something different.

That's about as different as it gets.

Any guesses on the results this coming week?

Maryland to beat Iowa, then Syracuse to beat Wake Forest so they get to beat Maryland again to show the first time wasnt a fluke!

No, I want an Iowa win. My teammate's sister plays for Iowa. She actually scored the winning goal over MSU.

i don't think Maryland loses to Syracuse again. Syracuse caught them early in the year.

Well, Bowdoin beats Tufts in the third match between the two teams this year, this time for the DIII national title. The girl who played a lot with our club this summer scored the winning goal in OT.

And Maryland beats Wake, like I predicted.

Nice to see up and coming teams make it deep into the tournament (Tufts hadn't played in the NCAAs in 9 years, and Syracuse in DI was clearly the surprise of the year). However, I guess experience wins out in the end.

There is a saying something like you have to play in a final before you can win one.
