I'd want to touch it before I form an opinion.

Looks like the shoulder area has been streamlined a little bit (which is good). The chest/ab protection seems to be the same which is good, there was nothing wrong with thme before.

i have had the chance to see the cloud armour which in my opinion seems really nice the shoulderprotectin is about 10 times if not more better now its made of a preshaped hard and protective foam so i bet the robo armour is even better finaly i feel that i can consider the obo armour which i have not dont in the past because of the shoulderprotection

My guess...

ROBO - Body only - £125
ROBO Full - £210

Cloud - £140

Hmm.. not quite what I expected from the preview in the newsletter, but they look good.
Nice to see they've rounded the foam bits so they don't rip the outer fabric. I also like the new shoulders on the Robo, they look a lot more pleasant to wear.
The shoulders on the Cloud still look too big, but depending on the break-in time and the padding it might be a good competitor for the TK3.0.

My main issue with the ROBO body armor is that the velcro attachment for the arms to the shoulders is not very strong and mine has had a tendency to come off during sliding.

Can't see the gear on HockFac or Barringtons yet.
Anyone know if it's available in the UK?

Get it from Verbunt and have them post it to you! Probably cheaper, depending on where the Euro is on day of order!

Well sadly I think £125 is a little off the mark seeing as the 'old style' body armour minus arms is currently retailing at £200 in the UK.  Shocked

I expect the new version will be £250 minus arms.....I really liked the old OBO body armour but ditched it (for chest pad and shoulder caps) as the shoulders were crap. The new version seems to get rid of that problem, though I will want to inspect the armour close up first! Having said that no way can I afford £200+  Angry

I do think the 'new' version is simply like the old but with better shoulders? Oh and the panels seem a bit bigger in places.

So faithful T-Pro will have to do for the time being with my rubgy shoulder padded top. Long since ditched the shoulder caps because they were well uncomfy (kept riding up and almost strangling me) and didn't do me any favours.

Anyway seeing as George W Bush has seemingly caused world financial meltdown....anything could happen!!

okay i have actually had the chance to try both bodyarmours (not the arms) and there are some good and some bad things i tried the cloud armor on a week before the robo armor

so first of all the cloud armor which have been improved a lot when it comes to shoulderprotection compared ot the old armor but its still no plastic protection in the shouldercaps but the new foam is really high density but the only bad thing was the shoulderprotection was a little bit to wide if you ask me

the robo armor was improved with bigger panels which is a good thing because it will spread the impact over a larger area but as i had seen the picture of this armor before i saw it in real life i was actually a little bit dissapointed because even if the shoulderprotection is better in the way that it fits so much better and follows the arm movment much better but im not sure the protection is all that much better however i think the new model was a bit more comfortable on then the old bodyarmor

Hi Guys,

Just a small post to clear some things up on the body armours.

As far as the review goes, i can only agree with what Nic said. The cloud has higher density foam on all parts, so has the robo, with some improvements to the shoulders.

What i would like to point out though is that this is NOT YET the new model OBO is working on. These changes are just upgrades on the current armours. OBO is still working on the new body armour.

cheers,
