Talking about match balls, we got some brand new kookaburra balls, it was ruined after about 10 mins of play, the outside was quite soft and literally has just rubbed off. However some of the £2 salzenger practice balls have lasted ages. Will see what becomes of the other kooks I have, in the coming weeks.

I too have seen this problem on a sand based pitch.  White ball becomes dirty yellow ball in half a game.

Kookaburra assure me that there is not a problem with their ball and they have not changed the composition.  Confused Confused

We found the same with the top of the range Kookaburras - the Elite...

I assumed that the Elite was designed for water based and as such has a slightly softer outer shell...
We now use the Dimple Standard or Vision on sand based and don't seem to have the issue...

Kookaburras match ball is always the best.

Regarding the training balls I agree with Grumpy. Most of them has the same quality only the label differentiate them. Most of the training balls are easy to be smashed.
