Darn!

That will be too late and the cut off means I'd still pay anyway!

You're looking at 17.5% VAT and probably 3.5% if the total of your goods is less than £290.

plus £8 that royal mail will charge you for handling.

but you might not pay anything.

my experiences are that;

if your parcel is awkward - like bulky foam in a bag that's a pain to handle then they'll sting you.

On the other hand if it's in a nice box (like the CK I got in last years sale) and is nice and easy to handle I didn't! even though it cost more (and both were over the charges limit)

I must admit - they are better at spotting stuff than they used to be though...

just goes to show - they just make it up!

just bank on paying it and then getting it without charges is a bonus!!

I don't think I've ever been charged import taxes. Is this a UK only thing?

It's not so much that it's uk only to be charged, it's that it's american only to not be charged.

Great news...
Just spoke with Mike at Obo. They had set aside for me a new pair of large SPs (red inner, blue outer), but I fancied something a little different from my old pair, so requested a pair of blue inners, red outers instead.
All confirmed.  Yes
Mike sounds like a great fella as well.
Happy days. Needed a bit of cheering up, and that was spot on.

awsome snoody,

the same but different, so your kit will still match!! :D

Yeah, mike seems cool, I emailed him saying that my mum isnt very good with the internet, and on line buying, and stuff, so he sent a very reassuring email to my mother saying everything is fine, and kept her up to date with the order (and he sent me emails too, just so I know that a) my mum did actually odrer my helmet and b) that I know what is going on to reassure my mother!)

mike is awsome!!  Happy
