A kid I coach off-season was going to go with a DC-area team, but as she just got 4 teeth knocked out flying out on a corner in a game, she's out.  Send me a PM with her info (including contact info) and I will see what I can do.

Near the top of the page, it has your profile photo and just to the right, "^You have X messages..." and "messages" is a link to the message system.

or just use this: http://www.fieldhockeyforum.com/index.php?action=pm There you can send a message to g9.  I hope you can find a team for her.

got your PM just fine...I know several other teams from around here that are going, so send me a bit of a bio for her and I will pass it around.  The injured player (just happened Monday) is unfortunately (for her) my best bet right now to pass along.

I wish I were exaggerating, as she was supposed to play indoor for my Club team!  She's 16 and plays for a team in our district...she and their goalie had kept them alive in Regional play with their defensive strength.
Yes, she was wearing a mouthguard, but the ball was undercut as she rushed it on the PC and it made a b-line for her mouth.  F=MA I guess....oral surgery that night, they thought they could save a few teeth, but back home the next day they said all 4 front teeth were goners.    I just hope she regains the nerve to play again after that...you don't usually see such things in girl's high school hockey!

Ugh... having an RPD or implants at that young age is awful.

That is a terrible injury. Something goggles wouldnt help with! I hope she recovers quick and "gets back on the bike"!

Did everyone get all set with being on a team?

Update:  she came out for indoor last weekend, spit her mouthguard out and gave a big gummy smile!  She will be out at Festival too, so she's back up and running (with a new facemask for flying out at corners)!
