Hello,

Is anyone going along to watch either the girls this weekend or the boys next weekend at Peffermill?

I'll be there all day both days this weekend and I'm sure it will be a case of the more the merrier. Come and see the stars of the future!

Mens U20's is also on at Forthbank in Stirling this Sunday.

Best of luck to our only representative there Steven.

We have one guy at the U20's, and my wee brother at the U18's

Not bad considering our youth section upped and left to form their own "club" a season and a half ago... Growl

Is this the 'junior section' that you asked to join from another club in the first place?

Maybe see you there Fluff. I'll be looking frazzled somewhere in the background making cups of tea, whilst similtaneously holding a clipboard and trying to look important. I will probably fail miserably at all of the above except looking frazzled.

*Sorry about this being miles off topic, but I thought I should respond... please note these are my own views on the matter and IN NO WAY representive of those of Stepps Hockey Club, its committe or members.

The technicalities of the whole thing can be argued about - frankly I dont know who suggested the original idea but I know that both sides benefited from it. I have wished the players concerned luck in what they are trying to achieve, and they seem to be playing well. I would add that the players we "asked to join" were outmunbered by those who were "Stepps" players in the first place.

I have serious reservations though, about a group of u16 players (as they were at the time) being told  to sign a letter of resignation from the club by their "manager" after a game, all but one of whom did so (my brother was the one who refused) while NONE if the parents knew anything about it until well afterwards.

Lol - you are right. What am I complaining about? After all, I could be spending my Sunday getting beat 11-0 by a team two divisions above us. Wait a minute... that was last weekend.

On the more intriguing topic of Stepps - people resign from clubs? How odd. Seems like a transfer form quagmire.

Well I'm out for both of them.

umpiring at both aswell. Should be a good couple of weekends for everyone involved......Whether playing or officiating........or just the plain old spectators.

If you're out at Peffermill then look out for me Tongue:P

Mens U20 was a bit of a nightmare. Midlands turned with 4 players so our representative for east ended up playing 5 games!

rediculous!

I take it all thie districts play in the boys tournies, cos for the girls theres normally usually 4 districts that play (usually east, west, north and highland!).. although south did turn up uninvited a few years ago!!  Lol

why dont the girls get to play all of the districts?
