I currently dragflick with my right hand's index finger on the shaft of the stick, that seems to be common with most, but where on length the stick should this be? Above, below or on halfway? Are there any pros/cons, or is it just personal preference?

it is mainly just preference, I for one have it at the end of the grip i find this more confort when dragflicking, but it is all about preference and comfort. Moat people use the index finger for power so just experiment dragflicking and see which is most comfortable for you.

what he said ^

as for positioning of your hand, most people tend to have it at the spot or slightly higher than you have your hand for normal flicking, maybe a hands width up from the bottom of the grip, but this is again person preference

I dont care who you are, what you are rebeblling against or why. Just pull your jeans above your groin or i will staple them to it

Dropping your grip down the shaft makes it easier to place the ball accurately, however, the further your hands are apart, the less range of movement you have - so you begin to loose power, or start to move your hands (not good!!)
Everyone has their ideal hand position, but it won't necessarily be the same between people (depends on the length of their arms!), for most its somewhere around the bottom of the grip. Experiment and find out how low you drop your hand without moving it at any part of the flick! That should be your ideal point.

Yes, I've been practising and Having my hand lower down helps with accuracy but loses power. Makes sense.

Yeah, I find it useful for occasionally changing things up - dropping my hand right down the stick and just placing the ball bottom left within an inch or two of the post (as you look at it from top of D). Makes a good alternative as it looks pretty different from normal and keeps the keeper guessing!!
