I have OBO HR LHPs and the velcro pad, which attaches to the main body of the glove has fallen off.

What is the best glue to use?

I have these glues in our house

Araldite
Copydex
Humbrol - a polycement
or a Hot Glue gun?

Anybody know the best of these? Or will none work?

Clean the surface with paint thinners or "prepsol"
use a water resistant contact adhesive as per directions.

Clean the surface with "sugarsoap" rinse well
use hotmelt glue.

Dont use araldite it's too brittle
Dont use polycement it won't bond real well

hmm must be something on the new models because my older model dont got it

sorry cant help you on the glue but generally i always use as elastic glues as possible which got a rubber feel when they dry because the stiffer glues tend to crack i think animal probably knows the answer to this one

haha posted at the same time as animal

May do the job. What you are aiming for is no oily residue as it evaporates.... or you could use some unscented nail polish remover (don't ask how I know  Growl )

Dave, AFAIK white spirit is the same as paint thinners so sould be perfect.

Unless you happen to have some nail polish lying around......................  Wink

Acetone - active ingredient of Nail Polish Remover.

Test it on a small area to make sure it doesn't "EAT" the foam.

Long time ago I used to race motorcycles at Hidden Valley in Darwin. I was sponsored by an "Escort Agency" who supplied my rubber. For a while developement of the motorcycle led to me using acetone/methanol as a fuel. Wasn't anything feminine about using scented nail polish remover on that thing!

Neither of my LHPs has velcro. WTH?

As for attaching it, the foam on my HC RHP had started to split, so I cut some foam from my OBO foam kit to fit the missing chunk, sealed it in there with shoe goo, and then duct taped over it. It's held up fine.

They started making thme with vlecro aboutr 2 seasons ago. Think they started off with the velcro just on the high rebound but now have it on both. Could be why yours don't have it vellnueve
