Basically after stories about the best field player you've stop a shot from.

E.g you've played against big names like: Luke Doerner, Eddie Ockendon, Jamie Dwyer, Mark Knowles and Des Abbott  (Australian national team) Taeke Taekema etc..

doesn't even have to be in a game training sessions will do.

For me when Simon Orchard (Australian National squad) comes home he turns up to training, He was the first striker to make me feel my cloud 9 gloves weren't good enough.  Have a couple guys I train with who are NSW Country Reps as well

Jimmy Kirkwood, Marty Sloan, Billy Mc Connell, Sam Martin all Irish and GB international, pure class.

Jan Flores Bovelander, John Shaw, Sean Kerly, Taco Van Den Hornet, Mark Raphael, David Smith, a few players that I have had the pleasure of coaching even if only for a short time.

Fantastic to coach, dedication and a will to win like no others.

just missed the chance to play against the Polish Junior World Cup team here in Singapore. They were playing against the Singapore Veterans but I'd just arrived back from a trip to the UK. Guess I would have been busy if i had played

I was fortunate enough to take a gap year and play the 2008/2009 season in Europe at a Dutch club. I played keeper for the 4th mens team at Klein Zwitserland in the Hague. We had quite a few internationals in the 1st mens team and what the team usually did at training is train with 2 keepers, so they could play small games with a keeper in both goals. So because of me playing for the 4th mens team of the club, I was fortunate enough to be asked a couple of times to practise with the team when the 2nd and 3rd team keepers could not for whatever reason. And was that pretty awesome!  Yes

They had 2 current Australians in the team: Grant Schubert and Kiel Brown. One Scottish guys, Mark Ralph. One ex Australian, Aron Hopkins. And they also had 2 current South Korean players: I only knew them as Seo and Chang. And then there were a few under 21 Dutch players in the team. I must say, it was pretty awesome practising with them. Just being on the same field was cool.  Tongue

It's just to bad that Klein Zwitserland got relegated from the Hoofdklasse back down to the Overgangsklasse... It really is a nice club!

Cheers

I'm not a keeper, but I had the pleasure of running 1 against plugger in our last league game, before the long weekend, and boy that man hit's a ball so hard!

And currently I'd have to say the best player I have played against would probably be Craig Victory too. Although  I have to say that Joel Dry is harder to mark...in training at least!

By the way Sa_goalie, do you play for seacliffe 1s?
