when younger, a lot younger and Astro pitches were just coming in to the game, it was explained to get into the hotspot, be nearer to the post, get in there!! Baffled

PC - ball is played, saw the shot at goal, missed the deflection, next time I saw the ball was when it was about 6 inches away from my chest.

Next point of waking up, local A & E, ball struck me straight on the heart and yes I do have one occasionally and somehow, still unknown, I was knocked out as I don't remember knocking my head in any way, but it was the talking point for weeks........

It is time to consider the big picture, the trouble is, I would fill this picture on my own!

I have run on to umpire and 2 steps into the field Ive twisted on my ankle....minor fracture and out for half the season.

I have had a ball shot as goal that missed by a lot and hit my shin ....that was an owie moment.

um...the old thumb caught in the pocket trick while running....that brings tears to the eyes for sure.

The odd crash into spectators that stick their arm onto the field while running past....thank you FESTIVAL. I always love dodging your bodies lined up so close to the field and then I miss something and you have the nerve to appeal.

I ran on to umpire as a last-minute stand-in, ran down the wing watching play and came to an abrupt STOP.

I had run into an aluminium 5-a-side football goal which had not been removed....the post hit me square in the middle of my chest.
When I'd finished swearing I discovered my only injury was a bruised finger, caused by my arm's continuing when my body stopped Shocked

A coach who I know was umpiring a game and got in the way of a keepers slide, and accidentally swallowed his whistle

I mean you can't help but love that, can you?

The worst thing that has ever happened to me was I got in the way at a PC and was hit squarely in the knee by a drag flick. (erm... OW!!!)

or words to that effect.

Its not wrong, It's an alternative way of playing.
