England Hockey has released the following document to assist umpires in the NPUA and England in applying the new rules. The benefit of this guidance is that it's been prepared after gathering feedback from a few international tournaments and various jurisdictions who have ironed out a few of the kinks as it were.

Keely

Thanks for posting that.  I think it's an excellent piece of work.  Congrats to Twister and the others who were involved in its production.

Red

(One minor point - could you make the hyperlink in your post a different colour so it's a little more obvious...?  Thanks.)

It shows up blue if you haven't clicked on it, but gray if you have. Can't change that - it's built into the CSS. Happy

Dilgent is dead chuffed that the general structure and several of the tips are just like his own work for our local summer leagues. But the truth is that all of that originated from FHF discussions from February, when FIH published and the more progressive associations put them into play, until June when we circulated the final local update before this official guidance from England Hockey.

So any contributor to FHF reading, at the bottom of page 7: "... with invaluable input from the following people...", can feel entitled to add "... and me". It has been commended by the FIH Rules Board Secretary as “an excellent piece of work”. So well done everyone.

And special thanks to Keely, Ivyleague, and Hockeyjon, who helped me knock the first drafts into shape before Easter.

England Hockey has released the following document to assist umpires in the NPUA and England in applying the new rules.
After some weeks of the document for English umpires being available only on a Canadian website, the National Programme Umpires Association has at last posted the guidance on their web site.

No sign of it on England Hockey - what's the chances of it getting up there before 1st September?

Edit: ... a very good chance - it appeared on the Umpiring Section (bottom right) yesterday afternoon.
