Even though I already had a ticket from the priority window, I caved in and applied for a couple more.

If we end up with packed stands next year, it will be incredible.

This would be quite a list for all of them....
I have applied for a fair few. I'm hopefully going to be a social media rep or something and have my travel and hotel paid for (this is 100% a dream there has been no discussion about this haha)

I suspect they will look to recruit for a number of positions for the event.

As happy as I am to be getting some more tickets, my eagerness is costing me an effing fortune. The £15 hotdogs and £25 pints of Wapping Gold may well push me over the edge.

Why does England Hockey hate me? :(

Regale me with tales of your success and/or failure to secure tickets for next year.

Ballot results out, and no semi or final for me, alas.
Just have to hope someone will have over ordered and have spares (at face value of course)...

I was a bit more successful than I'd hoped!

I already had tickets from the priority window, but did a last minute panic ballot entry. I have a few more tickets now!!

I assume that they will extend the capacity to the full 10,000 per game with additional seating on the west stand

The seating plan for the ballot showed that the West stand was already extended! No idea how much it was extended by though.

Only applied for the cheapest weekend tickets so I was 100% successful in the ballot, and my student overdraft has been crying ever since...

Has anyone else been amazed at the number of people who clearly didn't bother to read how the ballot works who are now kicking off on EH's social media channels? Remarkable.

Like that [woman] who had to cancel her credit card to stop getting charged £900 for tickets she couldn't pay for?

    Mod edit: sexist language removed.

My understanding on that is that you can only cancel a credit card payment if its been fraudulently made. As this is not the case, more that she is trying to get out of something she is contractually obligated. The CAB say that even if you do stop payment on a credit card you are still obligated to pay using another method. So the ticket company still could go after her demanding payment

Am not overly surprised because its systemic of a certain level of greed. They want their cake (applying for more tickets than they actually wanted) and then eating it (picking and choosing which tickets they get and which they can just dump back in a pot.

what is astonishing is that they do not see that what they have done is in any way their fault and the fault of the EH,who they are calling to "sort out", and the ticket agent, who made the terms clear enough that even some people from over seas whose native language isn't English, understood.

I just can't get my head around that sort of attitude. From what one of my mates has told me, several of those people have been on the phone to EH absolutely screaming at their staff because the ticket money has been taken. They seem completely oblivious to the fact that they willingly entered into a contract with EH to pay that money. If they didn't bother to read and understand the terms it's their own fault. I despair sometimes.

I deliberately applied for very few tickets because i read and understood the terms and conditions and knew i couldn't afford several hundred pounds worth. What's their excuse?
