Hi all, I originally wasn't going to post about this, but as I'm rather bored and been looking on the Hockey WA site and pre-season here in the UK is under way, im getting rather excited about playing hockey again. I am moving to Perth in the next couple of weeks and should be relatively settled in by the start of October. I see that the indoor season is about to begin, I assume the best bet for getting involved is to find a club? Or would be people recommend contacting Hockey WA first? Regards, Anthony
Try this link from Melville Hockey Club, if not google and you shall recieve answers! http://www.melvillehockey.com/indoor.php
Slapperdan would have a good idea of the clubs in Perth. I have helped people find clubs in the past and the first question is "where are you working and where are you living?" There is no point joining a club that is miles from where you spend the rest of your time.
Rushman, you make a good point: I dont know where i'll be living yet, but know that the office is on Hay Street in West Perth.
If you don't mind me asking what company will you be working for? Presentley I work in WA, mind you at Port Hedland where they is 1 hockey net that nobody knows how to use (it gets used as a kids soccer net on weekends).
I've also just moved to Perth and wondered if there were any clubs around that needed a keeper for indoor or summer league? I'm currently living just North of the centre so Melville is an option but we are potentially moving further North so it might be a bit far later on. Any ideas?
