    Stick/s:
Adidas DF24, Beikou Drag 90, This would be quite a list for all of them....
Does anyone else think we need to establish a template for people asking for stick recommendations?

I was thinking something along the lines of:

    * Please include your name in the title of the thread *
    Position played:
    Budget:

    Style of Play:
Do you hit/slap or push more?
    Do you drag-flick and/or Aerial?
Do you use a lot of close Stick skills?

    Preferences:
    Stick Size: 36.5/37.5/38.5
    Bow: Low(200-210mm) /Mid-Low(210-250mm) /Mid(250mm) /Mid-High(250-300mm) /High (300mm and above) - (also with or without groove?)
Head shape: Hook, Oversized Maxi, Maxi, Midi (with or without a tapered toe?)
    Stiffness: Soft or Stiff
Balance point: Low/High (Balance point is where you can hold the stick on a finger and balance it, measured from the bottom of the stick. Low balance point means a bit more of the weight in the head. High balance point means a bit closer to the handle of the stick)

    Current Stick:
What do you like about it?
What don't you like about it?

Have you tried any other sticks at a shop or borrowed from a team mate?
If yes, What did you like/dislike about it?
If no, Could you get to a shop or borrow a team mates stick to try?

Something along those lines? What do people think?

    Something about shops as well...
Have you been to a shop?
    Yes?
What sticks did you like the feel of?
Why did you like those sticks?
    No?
    Can you get to one?

Do about concave shaft/head/none and thickness/chunkiness maybe to summarise a few with overall power

Sticks don't have to be thick to be powerful. You're more talking about balance. Maybe put powerful in brackets next to stiff?
Groove could be added to bow types.

Head preference might also be something worth noting I know the vast majority are maxi heads of some sort but if people prefer a hook or anything would narrow what would be suggested

this may be way oversimplifying it, and the "male" edition isnt available yet, but bquipped.comhas a great stick selector. would recommend checking it out before finalizing the template.

Update the original post Fraz so people don't need to scroll.
I see it's an american website so they wouldn't know much anyways (no offence to you) and the only questions they ask are position, gender, playing level and money.

I broke the bow profiles down as:
    XLB (200-210mm)
    Low (210-240mm)
    Pro (240-280mm)
    Mid (280mm and above)

Any Suggestions on if you think these are fitting/accurate enough or if the need editing?

    These ones...
    High bow (300mm), High/Mid bow (250mm - 300mm), Mid bow (250mm), Mid/Low bow (200mm - 250mm), Low bow (200mm)
Just so they are understandable to those not familiar to the 'pro' and it matches the reviews.

Correct me if I am wrong but I do believe that in general there are only 3 different bow distance @ 300 mm, 250 mm and 200 mm or thereabout...

Well you are wrong there are alot of brands that offer inbetween bows to those 3. Gryphon T-Bone is 225mm, Beikou Drag is 225mm, Carbonbraid 230mm and Kookabura L-bow 220mm all don't fit with those 3 bows and thats if you round some off (eg. Kabo low bow is 210mm Gryphon DII and samurai is 205mm, etc)
