    Pixel 2

Use if for facebook, email, browsing, music etc

Upgraded from Samsung S6 after being a Samsung devotee (S2, S3), got it outright on a 0% CC, currently on sim only deal with 12gb of data so I can tether my tablet at work as no wifi access, will likely drop to a lower package on renewal as this was a special offer for £20 a month, see what comes up in January as current ones are so so (3gb for the same price!)

iPhone 6S, soon to be iPhone 7 (not interested in the 8 or X at the moment due to extortionate pricing!)

Use it for calls, emails (work and personal), social media, web browsing, some apps, torch, timer, alarm, etc.

Staying with iPhone makes using a number of Apple devices a little easier for me (i.e Macbook, Mac, Apple TV), but not happy with the direction Apple are taking things - i.e. significantly increasing costs with significantly decreasing improvements!

That's fair, that's one of the reasons I jumped ship to android, OnePlus 5T is apparently nearly as good as the iphone X for literally half the price (if some reviewers are to be believed) and I just feel the the apple logo is adding more £££s to the price of their products every year.

Hopefully they reign it in soon but I think that it's only going to get worse

Apple have always charged a huge premium for the name, the tech specs of their phones have always been behind android higher end phones e.g. when they did the iphone 6 in 2014 with all the "new" spec like NFC payments, 750p screen etc that the Nexus 4 did in 2014 or how they launched the iphone 8 with wireless charging, something my samsung s6 did over 2 years ago. You'll never get away from this with Apple because their user base is insanely loyal and will pay a fortune for the brand so there's no reason for them to go for the budget market

Yeah, not exactly the most up to date. they get away with a lot with the smooth UI, in my experience it is smoother then Android. But I like that android is more customisable and you can strip it right back to stock. I do think that Android versions of apps have more adverts.
